I believe the best wedding photographs are the ones you never realised were being taken.

I'm Matt — a wedding photographer based in Manchester, capturing weddings across the North West, from intimate barn ceremonies to grand country house celebrations.

My approach is calm, approachable and unobtrusive, so what I capture reflects the day exactly as it felt—natural, joyful and unmistakably you.
Most of the day you'll barely notice I'm there. When it's time for family photos or portraits, I'll step in confidently, keep things relaxed and have everyone back enjoying the celebration within minutes.

Great documentary photography doesn't happen by chance. Before your wedding day, I've already thought through every stage. I've researched your venue, found the best locations for portraits and planned around the light. So when the day arrives, you can simply enjoy it, knowing everything has already been carefully prepared.

Before weddings, I spent years photographing professional sport, where everything happens in the blink of an eye and the biggest moments only happen once. It taught me to anticipate emotion, stay calm under pressure and recognise moments before they disappear. Those same instincts now allow me to capture the moments that make every wedding unique.

My editing style is authentic and true-to-life—soft light, honest colour, nothing over-processed. I want your photographs to feel just as timeless in twenty years as they do the week after your wedding.

Outside of weddings you'll usually find me on a tennis court or spending time with my fiancée and daughter. Those moments remind me just how quickly life moves, and why photographs become more valuable every year.
